Kedarnath Yatra is well-known as one of the Hindu Char Dham Yatra. Kedarnath Dham is situated at 3584 metres above sea level, close to the mouth of the Mandakini river. Kedarnath Mandir, which attracts thousands of pilgrims each year, is situated in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It is believed to be founded through the Pandavas in the epic poem of Mahabharata. Adi Guru Shankaracharya was the architect of the present structure of the holy site.
